ABS ThermoplasticABS

ABS pipework systems have been manufactured since 1954 for use in many arduous and diverse applications worldwide. These cover water and sewage treatment, air conditioning and refrigeration, food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, swimming pools, film processing, chemical production, ultra pure water, potable water and many other applications.

The Acrilonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) copolymer formulation has been selected to give optimum performance in respect of tensile strength, chemical resistance, ductility, weatherability, heat stability and ease of processing from the raw material to the finished product.

Pipes, valves and fittings are designed for continuous operation at their maximum rated pressure at 20°C for a period of 50 years.

Excellent impact resistance and ductility combine to make Durapipe ABS an exceptionally tough material throughout its temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. It is completely non-toxic and is jointed quickly and easily by solvent cement welding.

The ABS pipework system is manufactured in inch sizes from 3/8" to 12" nominal bore to British Standards and in metric sizes from 16mm to 225mm outside diameter to DIN, KIWA and ISO standards. Both the inch and the metric comply with an impressive range of third party approvals and endorsements ensuring the Specifier, installer and end user that Durapipe ABS will perform and keep on performing to its specification.
