The
most obvious fabrication which we undertake is the building up of pipework
systems and the installation on site to link in or replace an existing system.
An example of this type of work is with water treatment plant such as industrial
water softeners which have been initially constructed using iron or PVC material.
We have found that an ABS fabrication if used to replace iron is not only
less expensive for overall costs [the labour costs by far outweigh the more
costly ABS material], but ABS also has the advantage that it will not corrode.
ABS used instead of PVC while marginally more expensive the installation costs
are identical but ABS is much less likely to fail due to system vibration
or break at lower temperatures.
