which we now take for granted. We have found that there is a need to provide
one or more off for customized requirements.
An example of the more specialized work undertaken is the design, fabrication and testing of a Vent/Loading Valve. This valve was commissioned by a major offshore oil industry operator specifically to replace existing valves that are fitted at high level on the vent stacks of a ship carrying Hydro-Chloric Acid at 37%.
Due to the design requirements the valve called for a counterweighted valve weighing in excess of 50 Kg's to allow a positive tank pressure when loading but to permit air intake when unloading with all potentially wetted parts in a resistant material!. We chose ABS as the medium and from design to fabrication, test and delivery took just 6 weeks to produce three.
